High Definition Plasma

	Computer controlled AutoCAD and .dxf formats.
	High quality finish, more efficient and cost effective than Lasers in cutting Aluminum.
	Capacity up to 12mm Stainless Steel and Mild Steel & 15mm Aluminum on a 2m x 6m Bed.

Design & Engineering

Our design and engineering department is comprised of tradespeople who have taken their trades training to a higher level of academic achievement. They can offer both practical and theoretical expertise in fabrication problems.

Fabrication of complex shapes, including curves, forming, slotting, embossing even tapping with a 0.07mm punching accuracy, can all be done in one single run improving the final product and reducing process cost.

Three clamps handle 2540x1270mm sheet up to 6mm thick, optimising material usage and reducing surface damage.

The Vipros has the ability to import DXF, STEP, SPM and IGES files provided by you the customer greatly reducing nesting and tooling time.



Quality Standards
MacArthur Engineering & Sheetmetal internal quality procedures are modelled on ISO standards.



Lathes
Maximum Capacity of Lathe 410mm swing over bed, 595mm swing in gap, 3000m travel.



Brake Press

	3 Brake Presses Capacity up to 200 tonnes capable of folding up to 10mm Stainless Steel over 3m.
	Maximum 3.6m Fold Length.

Guillotine
Guillotines capable of cutting to 6mm Mild Steel over a 3m length.



Materials Handling
Two overhead gantry cranes at 3 tonnes and 5 tonnes, 6.4m under the hook.



Rollers
Two Rollers one for mild steel and one for Stainless Steel, capable of Rolling 2.4m wide to 7mm.



Milling Machine
Max Load 340kg, y axis = 762mm, x axis = 406mm and
z axis = 406mm.



Defence Capable Suppliers
MacArthur Engineering has been involved in a number of Defence Department contracts over the past decade. The most notable being the ANZAC Frigate contract (1992 – 2002), MacArthur Engineering was the sole supplier of switchgear for 11 frigates for the New Zealand and Australian navies.

We have also made many major components for the manufacture of bomb loaders, missile containers and other military products.
